COVID RELIEF EFFORTS
The years 2020 and 2021 have taken a toll on many people's lives. The arrival of COVID-19 along with the cyclone has impacted a lot of families, especially those belonging to the vulnerable communities. During these times, when survival has become extremely difficult for them, a few young businessmen along with Samvedana have come forward to support the people of the villages that were hit hard by the cyclone Tauktae. These people were the unemployed labourers working in the Narmada Project in the village Andhaari near Dholka. They distributed around 150 grocery kits to them.
A FEW INITIATIVES
Samvedana Trust
has made it a routine practice
to distribute kits to the residents of
various villages of Gujarat. This month 26 kits were distributed amongst the widows in Nesda (a village in Dholka district, Ahmedabad). The kits contained essential grocery items like pulses, oil, flour, etc. sufficient for a family of 3 people for one month. This campaign is a kind gesture towards the widows who strive hard to
maintain their families.
